| The three regions of Nunavut. The Kitikmeot Region consists of Bathurst Inlet, Cambridge Bay, Gjoa Haven, Kugaaruk, Taloyoak and Umingmaktok with a total population of 4,644. The Qikqtaaluk Region consists of Arctic Bay, Cape Dorset, Clyde River, Grise Fiord, Hall Beach, Igloolik, Iqaluit (the capital), Kimmiruit, Nanisivik, Pangnirtung, Pond Inlet, Qikiqtarjuaq, Resolute and Sanikiluaq with a total population of 13,218. The Kivalliq Region consists of Arviat, Baker Lake, Chesterfield Inlet, Coral Harbour, Rankin Inlet, Repulse Bay and Whale Cove with a total population of 6,868. All of these communities are shown in the map below. |
